COMMISSION A PAINTING
Have a place that means something to you? I can create a painting of a favourite home, village, landscape or interior — from your photographs, memories or a place you love.
A painting of a place that means something to you
A commission begins with a conversation. We’ll talk about the place you’d like painted and look through your photographs together. This might be a favourite home, an Italian village, a landscape, an interior or simply a place that holds a special memory.
I’ll then develop the composition for the painting, selecting and, where appropriate, combining elements from your photographs to create the strongest image.
Before I begin the finished painting, I’ll prepare one preliminary sketch so that we can agree on the composition and you can see the direction the painting will take.
The finished work is then painted by hand as a unique original, created specifically for you.
THE COMMISSION PROCESS
1. Choose your subject
A favourite home, village, landscape or interior — somewhere with personal meaning.
2. Share your photographs
Send me photographs, sketches or other reference material. We can also discuss the memories and details you would like the painting to capture.
3. Discuss the painting
We'll agree on the size, composition, style and price before I begin.
4. I create your painting
I'll develop the work from the initial sketches through to the finished painting, keeping you informed along the way.
5. Your finished painting
Once complete, the original painting is carefully prepared for you to enjoy for years to come.
