The joy of Australia and Italy in Art

Is there much difference between Australia and Italy? What do you think? I’m thinking of the links when it comes to drawing and painting.

There is a stark contrast in architectural styles, brought about by history and peoples origins. The classic style of Italy some of it hundreds of years old versus Australia’s colonial history of about two hundred years. This difference is what I love. Both distinctive and recognisable as the country’s architecture and built character.

The colours and materials are distinctive of Italy or Australia. I love them both and are drawn (no pun intended) to them when it comes to my art.
